Murray Hartin

muz pic2For years Murray Hartin has been making audiences laugh, cry and visualise the spoken word with his unique style of Australian storytelling.

The former Barker College boy grew up in the Northern NSW town of Moree and is a country journalist by trade.

Through his extensive travels around Australia Muz has met a vast and varied collection of remarkable Australians. They are the inspiration for his stories.

People like the late Northern Territory station-owner and legend Billy Hayes, former world champion surfer Mark Richards and The Hog Whisperer, Scotty Parker, Muz's mate from Queensland.

His story "Rain From Nowhere", written in February, 2007, addressing the issue of rural suicide, has touched the hearts of people Australia-wide. It is already being spoken of as one of the most significant pieces of Australian verse in recent memory.

Muz's diet story "A-Z", directed and animated by Zenon Kohler, made the final 16 of the 2007 Sony Tropfest short film festival.

A former regular on The John Laws and Alan Jones programs, he has produced a collection of books, DVDs & CDs.

Originally with The Naked Poets, and now with The Four Funny Buggers, he performs to big crowds at the very popular Tamworth Country Music Festival every year.

Muz can be heard on radio stations across the nation every day and his story "Turbulence" is arguably the most popular spoken word piece since "The Man from Snowy River."

His stories epitomise mateship. Muz will remind you and the family how lucky we are to be Australian.

Reptile Display

Reptile-DisplayDo snakes and lizards make your skin crawl or do you love all creatures great and small (and scaled)? Allan Burnett is the reptile presenter for Reptile Awareness Displays of Australia. He has many years of experience with snakes and is highly motivated in the promotion of snake education and snake bite prevention.

Reptile Awareness Displays of Australia (RADOA) was originally formed to combat a general misunderstanding of snakes and other reptiles in the community. RADOA found a need to promote public awareness of reptiles - especially snakes and related first aid treatments.

Safety is always a top priority. RADOA are passionate about reptile and snake education, and travel all over Australia to promote it. Discover facts about Australian reptiles that will amaze you...it could even save a life one day!

The reptile display open daily from 10am-4pm with shows every hour on Friday and every 30 minutes on Saturday & Sunday.
